- Machine and physics:
- Ultrasound terminology
- Image generation and artefacts
- Get to know your machine, and what to do with all the buttons and probes
- Methods: Why and when to use ultrasound in practice, and limitations
- Perform a methodical abdominal ultrasound exam, your scanning checklist.
- The abdomen:
- How to locate the bladder, kidneys, spleen, liver, gall bladder and recognize normal appearance.
- Recognizing the appearance of common diseases affecting the bladder, kidneys, spleen, liver, gall bladder.
- Pregnancy diagnosis and identification of pyometra.
- Differences between the canine and feline.
- Practical sessions:
- Extensive hands-on scanning sessions where you can develop your skills with expert help and guidance.
